The International Freeform Crochet Guild should be the first stop for anyone who enjoys getting creative with their crochet.
They organise yearly online exhibitions, with contributing artists worldwide (yes, it’s international), and also produce a book, with 100% of the profits donated to charity. The 2011 exhibition is “Mythologies, Stories & Fairy Tales”, and saw many artists working overtime to be able to take part. The organisation of the show was all undertaken by unpaid volunteers, and it’s astounding how it’s all come together.
Have a look at the current and past exhibitions, and enjoy mouth-watering pictures which will inspire you to play with your stash!
Although I’m a Guild member, I’ve been too busy to take part this time. I’ll definitely make something next year.
Don’t forget that there are 2 crochet classes left this month, and there are a handful of places left for each.
I need numbers so I can bring enough goody bags and snacks for everyone, so you really must ring me to book before 12pm on Sunday 17th July. The number is below.
I have had very positive feedback about my past classes, so I hope to see you there!
Don’t worry if you can’t make it this time. Sign up to my newsletter and I’ll tell you when the next one is.
