Fabric painting

Last weekend we friend some new fabric paints. I’ve tried a number in the past and generally been disappointed, perhaps by the quality of the paint, perhaps by my slapdash washing methods, (which mainly involve chucking everything in on at 30 degrees and hoping for the best).

These paints seem rather lovely so far. As promised, they do actually glow in the dark, and so far they wash well.

They come in squeezy tubes, and can be applied directly with a steady hand, but our kids found it easier to spread it on with a paint brush or sponge. We made these, with pictures of favourite toys ‘Mily the Cat’ and Ducky the crocheted duck.

You can find them on Amazon. So far I’m impressed and I imagine they will be great for bags, t shirts and pencil cases, but I’ll wash them a few more times (at 30!) before buying more.
